Andrew Dutcher
A native of Ohio, I spent the last five years in Harrisonburg Virginia. I attended Eastern Mennonite University, where I majored in Environmental Science and International Agriculture. Also importantly, EMU is where I met my wife, Annie. My service assignment is with Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin (CAC). I am working under the Food Security program, with a focus on CAC Gleaners. CAC Gleaners is a food rescue program in which volunteers pick up food, primarily from restaurants and grocers. After pick-up, they or CAC distribute the food to food pantries, meal sites, or other emergency food providers. The food ranges from already-cooked soups and cookies to fresh produce to day-old bread.
