At the time of this writing I'm 22 and a half years old, just out of college, where I studied English officially and lots of other things unofficially. I'm from Schmindianapolis, Schmindiana, and one of the most positive experiences I ever had living in community and doing service work was right there in my hometown, at the Indianapolis Peace House, where I did a summer peacebuilding program in June and July of 2008. So naturally when I struck out on my own for the first time after graduating from my beloved Goshen College in 2009 *sniff* I decided to pursue service and community living. I'm in Madison because I wanted to live in a city (but not a huge one) in the Midwest. It's turned out to be a great place for me, so I want to send out a thank-you to the folks of Madison Mennonite Church for putting themselves through the arduous process of starting an MVS unit.
